"And you've just had some kind of mushroom and your mind is moving low"

This quote is from White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane. I think this song might be about drugs, just a guess.

"We got this man, we got this by the ass"

We'll, at least we thought so at the time...
From George A. Romero's Dawn of the Dead (1978).

"A little nothing, oh God, goes a long, long way"

This is yet another quote from God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater. The most underrated novel by the most unappreciated novelist; Kurt Vonnegut. The quote is written in pencil on the walls of heaven, according to a short story written by the main character; Eliot Rosewater.

"People who count their chickens before they are hatched..."

"People who count their chickens before they are hatched, act very wisely, because chickens run about so absurdly that it is impossible to count them accurately."

Yup, it's that time again. Oscar Wilde is just keeps on saving my ass. I just hope I don't run out too quickly.

"If there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed now it's just a spring clean for the May queen"

Um... OK.
This is from Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin on Led Zeppelin IV. I wouldn't bother picking this one apart, it's just weird.

Happy Turkey Day!

"Don't fight it son. Confess quickly! If you hold out too long you could jeopardize your credit rating."

This is a quote from Brazil, a film by Terry Gilliam. This film is basically what would have happened if 1984 was written by Douglas Adams. However, I wouldn't recommend this film, it's not because it's too weird (I like weird); it just doesn't warrant the insane directing style Gilliam's other films do. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is all about drug trips, that needs to be crazy. Brazil is about bureaucracy, here, the craziness just gets distracting.

"Listen up you primitive screwheads; this is my boomstick!"

I just couldn't decide which quote to put, I didn't want to to two quotes from the same movie; not in the same day anyway. So, my deciding factor is that this quote is actually from Evil Dead III: Army of Darkness, so that makes it fair game. ha!

p.s. This is probably the most famous quote you're ever going to see on The Internet Quote Database.
